Your photos and video never leave your device.

Image and video processing

Halation performs all colour grading locally, in your browser, using WebGL. When you choose a photograph or a video file, it is read directly into your device's graphics memory. It is never uploaded to any server, never stored, never logged, and never transmitted to a third party. Video is decoded, graded and re-encoded entirely on your own machine using your browser's built-in codecs, and audio processing also stays on your device. Exported files are written by your browser straight to your own downloads folder. Closing the tab discards everything.

This is a property of how the tool is built, not a policy we could quietly change. You can verify it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and grade a photo or export a clip. No request carrying your media will appear.

Information we collect

We do not ask for or store names, email addresses, or accounts. There is no login. We do not use cookies to identify you, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves. We use privacy-first, aggregate web analytics to understand page visits, referring sites, browser and device types, country, and page performance. It does not track people across sites or collect the photos and video you edit.

Third-party services

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. If that changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
